The Royal Canadian Navy frigate HMCS Ottawa (FFH 341, front, and the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS John S. McCain (DDG 56) are underway in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibilility.
PACIFIC OCEAN (Aug. 12, 2011) Quartermaster Seaman Chris Jurado, left, from Pamona, Calif., and Quartermaster 3rd Class Elvis Ortiz, from Bronx, N.Y., use Morse code to communicate with the Royal Canadian Navy frigate HMCS Ottawa (FFH 341) as it transits behind the aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73). George Washington is on a scheduled patrol in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility.
