£3m rehab complex to help budding Royal Marines through training opens

The Navy’s second most senior officer today opened a state-of-the-art rehab centre to help injured budding Royal Marines earn the coveted green beret.Fleet Commander Admiral Sir George Zambellas formally unveiled the £3m Parker Hall complex at the Commando Training Centre in Lympstone, near Exeter.

The Royal Navy’s Flagship welcomed HRH Prince Michael of Kent in Weymouth Bay on Monday 23 July during the final stages of their preparations for their Operation Olympics role, providing a Command and Control Headquarters to the maritime policing of the sailing venue for the London 2012 Olympics.

Wednesday the 18th of July saw the presentation of the Australia Shield to 847 Naval Air Squadron. This was a prestigious event, attended by a number of personnel from RNAS Yeovilton and further afield. Rear Admiral Cunningham CBE, Rear Admiral Fleet Air Arm, was the presenting officer.
